Sports Performance Training at Podium Performance Physical Therapy

When PT Ends, the Work Doesn't Have To

You graduated from PT stronger. Now keep going. Performance training at Podium is clinician-led, gym-based programming inside Moses Fitness built to push you well beyond pain relief.

PT Ending Shouldn't Mean Starting Over

You're not sure how to train after rehab

PT discharge doesn't come with a long-term performance plan. Most people go back to training the way they did before and eventually end up back in pain.

Fear of re-injury is holding you back

You're back in the gym but you're not pushing it. You're second-guessing every rep and pulling back on movements that used to feel natural.

Personal training misses the clinical piece

A trainer can push you harder, but they can't assess movement quality or manage injury risk. Performance training at Podium gives you the clinical oversight personal training simply can't.

What Athletes Are Saying

See how athletes at Moses Fitness and beyond pushed past rehab and kept building at Podium.

I am very thankful to have found Sam. After years of having difficulty in the gym because of nagging injuries and imbalances I can now say I feel much more confident in the gym and stronger than I was before. He is really good at assessing what you actually need and finding the right exercises to get you back to training how you want. If you’re having trouble with nagging gym issues or are having pain at work Sam can definitely help you get back to feeling better!

My daughter tore her ACL and we were recommended Sam at Podium Performance for dry needling to help with her tight muscles. Sam was so professional and also worked with her on her running and strength. After each session he provided feedback on her progress. I would highly recommend Sam. I have seen such great progress with my daughter in the short amount of time that she has been working with Sam.

I met Sam when he came to my gym to do free injury screenings. I had recently sustained a hip injury and the timing was perfect. He has worked with me to rehab to the point where I am now focused on building strength and feeling a lot better. He has a very conservative and thoughtful approach and is incredibly knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen and to explain. He also gets excited for you when you show progress which is awesome. If you have a nagging injury, go see Sam. You won’t regret it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Performance training is a newer concept for a lot of people. Here are the questions athletes typically ask before getting started.

How is this different from working with a personal trainer?

Performance training at Podium is clinician-led. Sam is a DPT and Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist, so every session includes movement quality assessment, injury risk management, and objective strength testing not just progressive overload. You get the coaching of a trainer and the clinical judgment of a PT in the same session.

Do I need to be a current PT patient to start?

No. Performance training is open to anyone who wants clinician-led coaching. If you've had a recent injury, Sam may want to do a brief movement screen first but there's no requirement to complete a PT plan before you begin.

What does a typical session look like?

Sessions are one-on-one inside Moses Fitness. You'll work with Sam on strength, movement quality, and sport-specific progressions using the full gym floor barbells, turf, rowers, and whatever equipment fits your goals. Each session is built around your current programming and performance benchmarks.

How often do I need to come in?

That depends on your goals and training schedule. Most athletes start with one to two sessions per week and adjust from there. Sam will work around your existing gym schedule so the programming complements what you're already doing.

Is performance training covered by insurance?

Performance training is a cash-based service and is not covered by insurance. Pricing is transparent and we'll walk you through what to expect before you commit. We accept HSA and FSA as payment options.
